SERVICES:
Tutoring For Success provides online and home-based and online tutoring by a diverse collection of extremely competent and talented tutors. We offer tutoring for all ages and subjects, tailored to each student’s needs, including attention to organizational and study skills. We have tutors who are trained and experienced in test prep, primarily for SAT, ACT, and SSAT, and tutors who specialize in working with students with special needs, such as ADHD, dyslexia, and executive functioning issues. We select and screen our tutors carefully and look for qualities such as intelligence, communication skills, honesty, integrity, and enthusiasm. All of our tutors have teaching or tutoring experience and a minimum of a college degree.
BIOGRAPHY:
Cheryl Gedzelman has an MA in Curriculum and Teaching from Columbia University Teachers College and a BA in Anthropology from the University of Chicago. She was an elementary school teacher before founding Tutoring For Success, a family-owned business, in 1994. She tutors students of all ages in math, language arts, and study skills. Cheryl is a board member of CHADD of Northern Virginia and Washington, DC, and a regular writer for Attention Magazine.
