When an adolescent or young adult leaves treatment, they are faced with a different set of challenges than an adult.
Recovery Care Partner’s Recovery Care Monitoring: Young Adult (RCM:Y) provides individualized support for those 16-28, appropriate to their specific challenges. Often included are support for academic success, “partying” as the social norm, life skills augmentation, executive function, integration to 12-Step community, and random screening.
All RCM:Y tiers include an initial contract session to establish recovery and academic goals and another session to coordinate any relevant aftercare services.
BIOGRAPHY:
Eric Quinlan is a direct academic provider to at-risk students in the DC Metro Region. Currently employed at Recovery Care Partner, he is the academic lead in collaboration with the clinical, intervention, and operations teams. Eric’s experience teaching in the public school system (NY) and at a therapeutic boarding school (VT). He holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Vermont and a MAT in Secondary Education from Union Graduate College. In his free time Eric likes to spend time with his wife Tara, and their dog, Wilson.
