SERVICES:
Pearl Education offers tutoring in math, sciences, humanities, languages, organizational and study skills, and test preparation. Pearl Education is particularly experienced in providing long-term academic support to students with learning differences, spanning their time in both high school and college. Our tutoring sessions take place online via video conferencing - a safe, convenient, and environmentally friendly way to meet.
BIOGRAPHY:
Lana’s education spans the humanities, sciences, and math. She earned a Masters of Science from UC Berkeley, where she also completed PhD coursework in history. At University of Maryland, College Park, Lana earned bachelor's degrees in history and economics, with a concentration in mathematics. She has a teaching credential in Social Science and English for grades 6 - 12. Lana applies her extensive tutoring experience and a range of pedagogical strategies to support every student. Above all, Lana is passionate about learning and teaching, and loves to pass on her enthusiasm to her students.
