SERVICES:
I provide neuropsychoeducational assessments to children, adolescents and adults to evaluate for LD, AD/HD, Autism Spectrum Disorders and other cognitive, behavioral and emotional challenges in a private practice setting. Understanding that the process of evaluation can be overwhelming for many families, I work in a collaborative manner, frequently attending school meetings and guiding parents and individuals through the process of procuring appropriate resources. In addition to assessment services, I also provide individual and family therapy in a safe, friendly atmosphere. Among the many issues that can be addressed with therapy are: AD/HD, autism spectrum disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, disruptive behavior and parenting issues.
BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Ness completed her B.A. in psychology at the University of Massachusetts, Boston and received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Tennessee. Dr. Ness has worked in a host of settings including residential treatment, community mental health centers and private practice. She also taught at the college level and has published research in the field of self-injury.
