SERVICES:
As a special education advocate, I work with families to help them obtain the services and accommodations necessary for their children with disabilities to make meaning educational progress. My services range from helping parents/guardians understand the educational rights of their children and the special education process to supporting families at meetings governed by IDEA and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. I provide an objective review of each client's documentation, observe students in their educational environments, and work collaboratively with other professionals involved in any given case. I also provide families with recommendations for professionals, organizations, and activities in the community that may help further their child's development outside of school
