SERVICES:
We offer individual, group and family psychotherapy for clients ages 8 and up. We specialize in working with tweens/teens who are struggling in school and those that have been diagnosed with learning differences and/or ADHD as well as those with depression and anxiety. We make an effort to engage and collaborate with outside providers such as school counselors, tutors and psychiatrists. We have an eclectic style and utilize multiple theoretical styles including cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, attachment, trauma and psychodynamic theories. We offer parent coaching and support and understand the importance of the family as a system.
BIOGRAPHY:
I received my Masters in Clinical Social Work from Catholic University in 2008 and have worked in outpatient mental health. Much of my experience prior to private practice has been working in special education with adolescents diagnosed with learning differences and/or on the autism spectrum both individually and in groups. I believe creativity and flexibility are important parts of the therapeutic practice. I am a Board Certified Clinical Supervisor for the state of Maryland. Additionally, I have run several staff, client and parent psycho-educational trainings.
