Dr. Teri Bullis (formerly Brooks) is a doctoral-level psychologist with dual training as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. At Behavior Solutions for Children & Families, she runs a 100% virtual practice specializing in behavior therapy, helping families with children who have behavioral challenges stemming from typical developmental hurdles (such as potty training, tantrums, and defiance) as well as neurodevelopmental differences (ADHD, ASD, anxiety, etc.). Her approach combines parent coaching and skills training to inspire children to make more positive choices, be more independent, and decrease challenging behaviors. Her mission is to help kids be the best people they can be by teaching them skills to be successful, and ensuring that they apply those skills in real-life (and not just in the therapy office).
BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Teri Bullis (formerly Brooks), Ph.D. is the director and lead therapist at Behavior Solutions for Children & Families, LLC. She received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Vermont in 1999, specializing in behavioral and school psychology. After completing an internship and several years supervising a team of professionals providing a range of family support services in New York, Dr. Bullis returned to Vermont to serve her home community as a school psychologist. Seeing that there was a significant gap in effective, evidence-based therapy options for parents struggling to support their children's mental and behavioral health, Dr. Bullis launched into private practice to fill this need. Along the way, she obtained the training necessary to become certified as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, providing a critical basis upon which to offer exemplary behavioral consultation work with families and schools. She holds licensure for her 100% virtual practice in the states of Virginia and Vermont.
