I specialize in connection – bringing children with specialized needs and their families together with the right schools and specialists at the right times in their lives. Partnering with families, I listen thoughtfully and observe carefully. My role is to guide you to the best short-term and long-term choices that will serve your child. Whether I help you find a school where your child feels accepted and is a valued member of the community or specialists who have a demonstrated understanding of your child’s particular needs, I am passionate about helping you make the best choices.
BIOGRAPHY:
I spent a number of years working in admissions and outreach for The Auburn School supporting children with social, communication and learning differences. Prior to that and continuing today, I am actively involved in the Autism and Asperger’s and Learning Differences communities in the Washington area. Additionally, I bring over 20 years of professional experience as a human capital consultant/coach, speaker and professional working for not-for- profit, professional services and life science organizations. Ms. Geis is a cum laude graduate of Mary Washington College and a passionate, pragmatic advocate of children and young adults with social and communication challenges.
